The Real Deal
For whatever reason the majority of so-called “Calea ternifolia” is actually the toxic/inactive Chromolaena odorata. The latter can be easily identified in-hand by its tomato-like odor and lack of bitterness, but the visual similarities make ordering the right plant difficult. I’m pleased to say that the plant I received is authentic and that it arrived with plenty of healthy foliage and a well-developed root system. Shout out to the seller for knowing their stuff!
